Restoration has finally begun! Ten years of extensive planning, research, and fundraising has allowed this monumental step to begin. Local architect, William Huber, has developed a phased plan of restoration that is sensitive to the historic architecture and compliant with the guidelines of the National Park Service. Due to extensive weather-related damage throughout the years, significant structural and roof restoration are the first to be restored. Expected completion of restoration is within four years. The foundation is committed to this effort and continue to seek additional funds to aid in this process. Become a part of this historic process through donations, monetary gifts, memberships and volunteering! Please see photo gallery of restoration efforts below.
