The Rebirth

The home was designated a National and Virginia State landmark in the 1980’s but the drive to save and restore her were not realized until 2003 when purchased by a local family. A non-profit foundation was established in 2014 and the home was gifted with the goal of restoration and public usage as a history, culture, and event venue. After ten years of planning and fundraising efforts, restoration construction began in May of 2024. The long-awaited rebirth of this landmark is finally being realized.
